What is Project & Portfolio Management Europe 2007?

Project & Portfolio Management Europe 2007 is a new event that will focus on the latest applications for optimizing business processes around the management and delivery of IT services in project-intensive environments. The concept is simple and proven: bring key Decision-Makers together with the leading and emerging Technology and Service Providers in the PPM space to gain market knowledge, build relationships and do business in an uninterrupted setting.

How does this event differ from Project Portfolio Management 2004?

The event will build on the success of 2004’s event, but with a broader focus that incorporates both service and project-based IT solutions. These include the newest PPM applications designed to optimize the delivery of IT solutions and services either internally or externally, as well as project tools such as professional services automation (PSA), service process optimization (SPO), and others that have gained traction over the past two years.

What are the key business factors that differentiate Project & Portfolio Management 2007 from other events focused on the project and/or service delivery marketplace?

Audience invitation model — Unlike other project-focused and service events, this event will pre-qualify, recruit, invite and provide travel and expense packages for every attendee. This not only ensures a uniquely high-level invitation-only audience, but enables Technology and Service Providers to pre-schedule meetings and maximize their business engagements at the event.

Gartner value-add — The event will reflect content and expertise from Gartner, one of the world’s leading research and thought leader organizations reporting on the PPM marketplace.

Will Technology and Service Providers have access to Gartner’s expertise?

Absolutely. Technology and Service Providers will benefit from Gartner’s expertise through General Sessions based on research that is presented by a select group of analysts throughout the event. Additionally, we offer Technology and Service Providers access to on-site private One-on-One meetings with Gartner analysts to discuss specific session presentations and market issues unique to their organizations.

Who will attend Project & Portfolio Management 2007?

Attendees will include an invitation-only audience of CIOs, CFOs, COOs and other IT Decision-Makers who oversee organizations engaged in work that is project-based and resource-intensive. These are executives responsible for the delivery of strategic programs, projects and services — and are seeking applications that can help them place the right resources on the right projects at the right time.

How does Gartner define PPM?

Gartner defines PPM as software that streamlines outward functions and inward processes of project-intensive departments, industries and organizations. Integrating multiple business processes and point solutions into one application suite, PPM features integrated management of pipeline, scope, time, resource, skills, cost, procurement, communication, reporting and forecasting, and risk management functions.

What is a Private Boardroom Appointment?

Private Boardroom Appointments are prescheduled presentations conducted in meeting rooms or suites with groups of sixteen to twenty attendees. These appointments are designed for Technology and Service Providers and their clients to discuss successful PPM implementation and the full range of benefits that their PPM technologies, services, and programs have to offer while exchanging dialogue on specific IT and PPM-related issues, and gathering valuable feedback on their programs and services.

What are the advantages of the Gartner model over traditional IT trade shows?

There are several key advantages. In the standard trade show model, the prospective audience is mass marketed to, and the quantity and quality of the audience that shows up is always an unknown variable. Project & Portfolio Management Europe 2007 pre-selects, invites and brings in executive-level Decision-Makers. We know who is coming, and so do you. At standard trade shows, floor traffic is a hit-or-miss proposition; even if the right Decision-Makers are at the show, there is no guarantee that they’ll stop by your booth. At a Gartner event, we give you the tools and the format to meet with specific Decision-Makers, present to a select and pre-qualified group in private boardrooms, and interact in a series of networking events. The face time you spend with key customers and prospects is highly structured. Your ROI is maximized. Every aspect of the event is carefully planned to ensure Technology Provider satisfaction and success, at a level of customization and personalized service no standard trade show can match.

What is the cost to participate in the event?

Technology and Service Providers may choose from several packages and sponsorship opportunities based on their needs and budget. To ensure the highest level of buyer-seller interaction, the size of the event is limited and is expected to sell out. So sign up early!
