What is Project & Portfolio Management Summit 2008?

Project & Portfolio Management 2008 is an event that will focus on the latest applications for optimizing business processes around the management and delivery of IT services in project-intensive environments. The concept is simple and proven: bring key Decision-Makers together with the leading and emerging Technology and Service Providers in the PPM space to gain market knowledge, build relationships and do business in an uninterrupted setting.

Who should attend Project & Portfolio Management Summit 2008?

The program is designed to benefit CIOs, CFOs, COOs and other IT Decision-Makers who oversee companies, organizations and departments that are project-based and knowledge-resource intensive.

How does Gartner define PPM?

Gartner defines PPM as software that streamlines outward functions and inward processes of project-intensive departments, industries and organizations. Integrating multiple business processes and point solutions into one application suite, PPM features integrated management of pipeline, scope, time, resource, skills, cost, procurement, communication, reporting and forecasting, and risk management functions.

PPM applications enable IT Decision-Makers to focus resources where they count the most, leading to improved efficiencies and cost savings.

Will attendees have access to Gartner’s expertise?

Absolutely. Attendees will benefit from Gartner’s expertise through General Sessions based on research that is presented by a select group of analysts covering the PPM space. Additionally, we offer attendees access to on-site private One-on-One meetings with Gartner analysts to discuss specific issues unique to their organizations.

What is the cost to attend Project & Portfolio Management Summit?

For qualified Decision-Makers, participation is "by invitation only." Qualified attendees are given an expense package, which includes complimentary airfare, transportation, deluxe hotel accommodations, and meals. Participants are required to attend prescheduled Case Studies and General sessions, and have the opportunity to meet with Technology and Service Providers and Gartner analysts in one-on-one meetings.

What is a Case Study?

Case Studies are prescheduled presentations conducted in meeting rooms or suites with groups of twenty to thirty attendees. This setting provides for interaction between the Technology Provider and the Decision-Makers. During Case Studies you will learn about successful PPM Implementation while discussing new solutions, services and programs. You will also exchange dialogue on PPM issues that effect project-based and resource intensive organizations..

What are the bottom-line benefits of attending the event?
